Last term the online group came up with several pieces on the feel of the season, under the title As The World Turns.
The idea wasn't to talk about autumn, but rather the effect it has on us, and how that might be expressed.
The responses weren't always strictly on that theme - but that's where the creativity comes in.
Now, we are past the longest night, and I am looking at the flower on my kitchen window sill. I have no idea what it is called. I do know two things about it. In the darkest time of the year - it flowered. And, it is a girasol, meaning, it turns toward the sun. I turn it around regularly and before long, the flowers turn back to the window and whatever sunshine might be out there.
So... the successor theme to As The World Turns is Reaching For The Light, in whatever way you feel inspired to respond!
