A kinder world isn’t something to hope for, or work towards. A kinder world is right here, if we choose to look and see it.

When I had my first story accepted in The Sunday Post’s My Week column, I was ecstatic. I wanted to do more. But I thought, I might only have a dozen true-life, uplifting experiences to share. Twenty at a push.

But... the surprising thing was... the more I looked for them, the more I found them!

Twenty years later, between the newspaper column, The Friendship Book, and The People’s Friend, I’ve had several thousand of those stories appear in print.

I am still looking. And still finding.

It’s my belief that ordinary life is more love-filled than many realise. I plan to keep on spreading that good news in the hope that it will lift spirits, create smiles, and encourage others to look for, and see, the wonder all around us.
